The house is in a quiet street in West Green/St Ann's, close to local shops and parks, and independent shops and restaurants in Green Lanes (walking distance). A short bus ride away is Crouch End, which also has a good variety of shops, restaurants and places to hang out (coffee bars etc.), as well as two cinemas. There are excellent transport links in all directions, buses, tube, overground and national rail services.
Excellent bus, tube and overground links. It's a 10-12 min walk or short bus ride to Turnpike Lane underground station. The three bus routes nearest bus stop (3-4 mins walk) all go thereFrom Turnpike Lane, many more buses run in all directions. Turnpike Lane underground is on the Piccadilly line. It's two stops to Finsbury Park and the Victoria Line, so it's very quick to get to central London. There are national rail trains from Finsbury Park to Cambridge, Brighton, Gatwick and other destinations. Also, 15 mins walk away, is Harringay Green Lanes, overground stop, on the Gospel Oak to Barking line. Other overground routes in all directions start from Highbury and Islington underground/overground station, which is on the Victoria line, the next stop from Finsbury Park.
West Green Road (round the corner) has local Sainsbury's and Tesco's as well as independent supermarket and veg. shops. There are several parks a few minsutes' walk away (Duckett's Common, Chestnuts, Downhills) and larger ones a short bus ride away (Alexandra Palace Park, Finsbury Park). It's a few minutes walk to Green Lanes which has Turkish and other restaurants, independent shops (including Dusty Knuckles bakery and some organic/whole food shops), bars, pubs, and coffee shops. A short bus ride away is Crouch End, with its varied set of restaurants and independent shops, and two cinemas (one independent, one Picture House). There's a local theatre at Finsbury Park and a multi-screen cinema.
