Spare room in beautiful old gate lodge in the lovely market town of Stroud
Overview
Description
The room is clean and white with a large, beautiful, church-like window, a very comfortable double bed and a small basin. My much-loved house is a cosy gate lodge at the entrance to a nature reserve / cemetery and 15 minutes walk from the vibrant centre of Stroud and train station in one direction, and straight into beautiful Cotswold countryside in the other. It has a garden with stunning views right to the River Severn and Wales. The house is light and tidy and comfortable.
The local bus stops almost outside the house and train station is 15-20 minutes walk away with direct trains to London, Swindon, Cheltenham, Gloucester etc.. Wonderful walks straight from the front door.
The open countryside is right on the doorstep. Beautiful views abound. Quiet neighbours but Stroud centre, Waitrose, the market, pubs, Vue cinema etc. are all within 15-20 minutes walking distance.
