Comfy and cute double room in tranquil location near Bath & South Bristol, family home,

Hello! I am renting a double room (with a very comfy double bed) in a beautiful period home in Clutton, a quiet village in the Chew Valley.
 

The  house is on a friendly terraced street. It's an old miner's cottage and has charm in spades. I love the sunny, private, south-facing garden and sense of tranquillity here. The bedroom is compact but very comfortable, on the second floor, with a lockable door and storage. You would have access to a clean and stylish bath and wet room on the same floor. You'd be welcome to use our washing machine and tumble dryer if you needed to and if you needed to leave a few possessions over the weekends I can make that happen. There is a sunny garden with chairs and table, and lots of birds, and a gas BBQ which I'm very excited to use and you can grill whatever you want whenever it's on. You'd also have complete use of the kitchen and dining room (open plan) with space in the fridge and cupboards to store things for breakfast and for light bites. Finally there is a private drive so you'd be able to come and go with ease, with a lockable shed for a bike.

I work from home so would prefer not to share the house during the day, as there's quite a bit going on with calls etc. But you're more than welcome to hang out here after about 5pm, Monday - Friday. This room would suit someone who is out for work in the day and looking for a haven in the evening, with perhaps a stroll around the village or a quiet drink in the garden to unwind.

I am a working mum (writer, author, and freelance creative) with a teenage girl (14.) She stays with me 2 weeks out of every 4, so for half a month it would be just me and you. When she's not here, you'd have access to the lounge, and telly, and sofa, too, but when she is here, that's family time, and we tend to relax in there together. Hope that's okay. Having said that, we're both very polite, welcoming, and like chatting to people, so we'd do everything we can to make sure you feel comfortable and as included and respected as possible. The house is very chilled and quiet, we like reading and playing backgammon and watching films in the evenings.
